What are Telomeres?
Every human cell has 23 pairs of chromosomes containing DNA that provide instructions for cell division and function. Telomeres are protective caps on the ends of chromosomes that help maintain DNA integrity as the trillions of cells in the body constantly divide.
Nobel prize-winning research links aging to the shortening of telomeres, protective endcaps on chromosomes that help maintain DNA integrity as cells divide. With aging, body produces less telomerase, an enzyme that maintains telomere length and protects against oxidative stress. Telomeres shorten over time, resulting in impaired cell function or cellular senescence (cell death).1
Researchers can now determine cellular age by comparing the average length of an individual’s telomeres with those of the general population. This age measurement is also known as TeloYears. A person’s TeloYears age may be older or younger than their real age. Age at the cellular level may be a better indicator of how well an individual is aging than actual age.

Clinical Study: Telos95® Preserves and Lengthens Telomeres

The preclinical research conducted at Life Length Laboratories, a world-renowned academic center for telomere research. Analysis with the lab’s proprietary TAT technology showed that cells treated with Telos95 had significant increases in median telomere length after 10 days. 2
A randomized, peer-reviewed clinical study reported similar results. In the study, 50 healthy volunteers consumed one capsule (95mgs) or two capsules (190mgs) of Telo95 daily over six months. Blood samples were taken at the beginning and end of the study period for comparison. 3
The blood samples were analyzed with the Cawthon qPCR assay to determine average telomere length (ATL) and to assign a TeloYear age to each subject based on the comparison of their ATL to others in their same age and gender. 4

Researchers found that subjects taking one capsule of Telos95 significantly reduced their TeloYear Age an average of 7.43 years. Their ATL showed a baseline measurement of 0.85 increased to 0.95 by the end of the study. Volunteers taking two capsules daily decreased their TeloYears by 8.52 years and increased their ATL to 0.94 from 0.82.
